Immortality was overrated.

Once an immortal vampire, Byteula crossed realms to save a human life. Two lives became one, immortality was the price, and Britain was apparently the side effect.

He did not leave every part of his old world behind. Kara and Lili, twin succubi from that realm, remain tangled in his story. Kara is rather too enthusiastic about being reunited with him; Lili is usually the one trying to make sure that enthusiasm does not become everyone else’s problem.

They’ll make their way into this world eventually. Probably. Assuming Kara follows instructions for once.
